ISIS builds Aim market expertise

ISIS EP LLP ("ISIS") is delighted to announce the appointment of Henrietta (Het) Marsh to lead its Aim investing on behalf of the Baronsmead VCTs.

Het has a strong record of UK Small Cap investment and private equity after working for 14 years at 3i, latterly between 1997 - 2002 as the Director responsible for managing the 3i Smaller Quoted Companies Trust (now called Merrill Lynch British Smaller Companies Trust). Previously she had been an investment director in 3i's London Office making private equity investments.

This appointment is another key step in the growth of ISIS especially as the funds under management across the four Baronsmead VCTs have increased to more than £200m. ISIS, as the manager of the family of Baronsmead VCTs, has one of the largest teams dedicated to VCT investment. It applies its expertise across both private and AIM quoted companies, deploying private equity disciplines where possible in subscribing to Aim-traded companies.

David Thorp, Investment Manager of the four Baronsmead VCTs, commented: "We are committed to sustain the investment record of the Baronsmead VCTs built up over the last ten years. Het brings a rare combination of skills which fit our investment style and we are delighted to welcome her to the team."

Het Marsh added: "I have known the ISIS team for some time and look forward to combining my Small Cap experience with the strong private equity investment process within ISIS. AIM investment at ISIS has been growing in tandem with the VCT business as a whole and I will be focussing on getting the best out of the existing Aim portfolios and finding future winners."
