I lead new investments for ISIS. I meet the people who have founded and run exciting growing businesses. My job is to understand them, their story, their business and their ambitions and work out how ISIS can help drive an accelerated growth strategy for their pride and joy. I meet lots of great people and have the privilege of forming strong working relationships with some of them to achieve great things together.

I grew up in Birmingham and joined RBS on their graduate training scheme. I spent 9 years there, travelling through retail and corporate banking, leveraged finance and then private equity. I left to join ISIS in 2003. I was attracted by the people - and the opportunity to be part of a team that was busy setting its own destiny.

My favourite moment so far was probably the day we invested in the Enigma Group (Ski Esprit and Ski Total). Having worked for 3.5 years to build up our knowledge and network in the leisure sector and having built up a relationship with the Enigma team for 2 years, we finally completed our first travel investment. The first of many more to come!

Little known fact: As part of my sport science degree I took a course in modern dance which involved an assessed routine wearing a purple leotard. I got a B+. I was robbed.

Outside of work I…Eat, drink, travel, play sport, watch sport and beat my two sons at any game they ask me to play.

Perfect day:
BBQ in my garden with family and friends – with cricket on the TV.

What makes me get out of bed in the morning?
The variety of my role and ‘the next big thing’.
