I work with Ken Wotton looking after the AIM and quoted investments at ISIS. At ISIS We have over 80 portfolio companies across a range of sectors, all with their own characteristics and requiring varying levels of support and attention. I graduated from Monash University in Australia before coming to London and qualifying as a Chartered Management Accountant. I spent 4 years in Corporate Finance, formerly at Evolution Securities and latterly at Societe Generale. During this time I built a knowledge base through advising predominantly smaller companies quoted on AIM and the Main Market across a range of equity capital market and corporate transactions. I joined ISIS in April 2011 because the opportunity to work with and invest in small growth companies was the ideal job for me.

About me
Little known fact: I grew up on racehorse studs in Newmarket, Suffolk and subsequently tried my hand (very unsuccessfully) at riding trackwork for one of Australia’s leading horse trainers. It didn’t last long!

Eternally optimistic, I am most likely to say “I actually quite liked that company…”

Outside of work I… Spend a lot of time playing music, trying new restaurants, walking my dog and occasionally heading home to Australia to see friends and family.

Perfect day:
Waking up somewhere very hot, a quick swim at the beach before breakfast and then back to the beach for the day, with something good to read and some music. A few lazy afternoon drinks before a great dinner with close friends, followed by a night of fun.

What makes me get out of bed in the morning?
Working in this environment and at this end of the market, you have fantastic flexibility to generate investment ideas and implement them. It is thoroughly enjoyable looking at a business or situation, analysing it, taking a view and seeing it play out as you expected.
