I spend a lot of my time meeting new businesses and assessing whether there is an opportunity for ISIS to invest. My main area of focus is the financial services sector and I always enjoy meeting entrepreneurs who find innovative ways of doing things better.

I am based in ISIS’ Manchester office, live in Leeds and work all over the country.

After graduating from Oxford University, I trained as an accountant and then spent 13 years as a corporate finance adviser with Societe Generale and latterly KPMG. I eventually decided that it was time to stop advising and start doing, and joined ISIS. I had worked with the team as an adviser and liked the people and their approach to deal-making, which is both thoughtful and entrepreneurial.

About me
Little known fact: I used to play guitar for the legendary Electric Penguins and had pink hair. In 1993 I worked as a ticket tout and real estate agent in St Petersburg, Russia.

Outside of work I… have 3 children, so don’t have a huge amount of time to myself. I do manage to play a very aggressive game of 5-a-side football on Sunday evenings.

Meet an exciting new management team, complete a deal then dinner with my wife!

What makes me get out of bed in the morning? 
Meeting new businesses and management teams. Whether or not there is a deal to do, I always learn something new.
