REAL SITUATION /
When the wine importer and distributor first came onto our radar, owner-manager Remo Nardone had already rejected a host of would-be suitors. Remo was looking to retire but was focused on ensuring a prosperous future for the company he had built up and stability for its employees. We developed a strong relationship with Remo so when it came to the time to do a deal he trusted ISIS. He knew we understood his business and could develop a strategy for renewal and growth in the face of recession.
"Clive (Beharrell - ISIS Operating Partner and incoming Chairmas of Enotria) is a good man. He is strong and has won the trust of the people at Enotria. I know he will be good for the company. ISIS will be good for the company. It is in good hands." Remo Nardone, founder.
REAL DIFFERENCE & RESULTS
/Bringing in ISIS Operating Partner Clive Beharrell as Chairman brought extensive experience of founder transition environments and enabled us to create a platform for Enotria to move forward from Remo era from the point of investment. Safeguarding the family ethos, whilst building the leadership team under the new CEO, Alison Levett, has made Enotria one of the UK's leading wine importers and distributors.
- 2011: 200-plus suppliers in 13 countries. At 2005: 70 suppliers in 12 countries.
- The strengthened team, improved financial rigour and systems developed during the first 3 years of the partnership enabled Enotria to turn recession into opportunity and continue on a path of growth.
- Expanding in the right way at the right time: Two strategic acquisitions have profitably extended the Enotria portfolio.
